Undergraduate Mindfulness Project
Undergraduate university students face several challenges to their mental health and wellbeing, including academic, social, familial, and financial pressures. Such factors often contribute to increased levels of anxiety and depression in students. The practice of mindfulness has been shown to improve well-being and alleviate symptoms of stress. This project aims to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of a university-level mindfulness-based course in order to determine its future success and accessibility to students. The costs of the course's delivery, materials, facilities, and more will be analyzed with respect to the effectiveness of the course at decreasing anxiety and depression symptoms and improving overall health-related quality of life.
