VIRTUAL HEALTHCARE PROGRAM EVALUATION

Primary care is an important component of Ontario's healthcare system as it facilitates the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of many conditions and diseases. However, some Ontarians do not have access to primary care providers, and these patients are likely to frequently use hospital-related, high-cost resources in place of primary care. This study aims to evaluate the implementation costs of a virtual healthcare program in Ontario, Canada, and its impacts on healthcare resource utilization and associated costs.
